Man arrested with grenades in Poonch | KNO

Poonch, March 11 (KNO) : Security forces have arrested a man alongwith two grenades in Surankote town where an Army recruitment rally was going on in the area. Police told KNO that a man, identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Krishan lal aged 33years of Dhalyote Tehsil Kalakot of Distt Rajouri and has been arrested from outside the recruit rally venue. He was found in possession of two grenades which include one under-barrel grenade and one practice grenade, police told KNO, adding that during search, one C- 90 grenade, UBGL grenade and detonators were recovered from his possession. Arrested person has been shifted to a local camp of security forces for questioning where senior army and police officials are present. A case has been registered at Police Station surankote under relevant sections of the law and questioning is on. (KNO)
